Storefront Christmas Lights on Long Island

It is dark on Long Island by 4:30 in December. That is the back half of your business day, and an unlit storefront disappears into it. Yule Love Lights designs, installs, maintains, removes, and stores Christmas lights for shops, restaurants, salons, dealerships, and offices across Nassau and Suffolk. You do not climb anything, buy anything, or store anything.

Call 631-517-0186 or request a walk-through. Rated 5.0 from 176 Google reviews. CLIPA-certified and fully insured, with a certificate of insurance available on request.

Why does a lit storefront matter more on Long Island?

Because your busiest weeks of the year happen in the dark. Sunset on Long Island falls before 4:30pm through most of December, so from mid-afternoon on, a customer driving down Main Street in Huntington or Jericho Turnpike in Commack is choosing between businesses by what they can actually see.

Lit storefronts read as open and staffed. Dark ones read as closed, even at 6pm on a Saturday. That is the whole argument, and it does not need a study behind it. The businesses that get this right treat Christmas lights the way they treat their sign: not decoration, a season-long reason to be noticed.

The catch is that nobody running a shop in December has a spare afternoon for a ladder. That is the part we take.

What makes this different from hiring a handyman

1. It is one price, and it covers the whole season

Design, commercial-grade lights, installation, mid-season repairs, takedown, and off-season storage are all in the number you agree to. There is no separate invoice in January and nothing to store in your stockroom. If a run goes dark on a Friday in December, the Stay-Lit Guarantee means a crew is back within 48 hours at no charge.

2. Installs happen around your hours, not ours

Early mornings before opening, or after close, or a weekday window if you are a weekend business. Tell us your traffic pattern and the install is scheduled into the gap. Your customers should never be walking around a ladder.

3. The insurance question is handled before we show up

If you lease, your landlord or management company almost certainly wants a certificate of insurance on file before a contractor touches the building. Yule Love Lights is fully insured, our installers are CLIPA-certified, and the COI goes out on request before the first visit instead of holding the job up in December.

What does storefront Christmas light cost?

Commercial jobs are quoted after a walk-through, not from a published price list, because a single storefront and a multi-tenant center have almost nothing in common. Jobs start at the standard $1,000 minimum and rise from there with the size of the building and how much of it you want lit. Here is what actually moves the number.

What moves the priceWhy
Linear feet of roofline and facadeThe single biggest driver. A 30-foot shopfront and a 120-foot showroom are different jobs.
Height and accessA one-story strip unit is a ladder. A three-story building or a parapet roof needs a lift and more crew time.
Windows, awnings, and columnsDetail work takes longer per foot than a straight roofline run.
Trees, planters, and entry landscapingWrapping is priced per tree and by trunk height.
Number of sitesMore than one location goes on a single contract, which is usually cheaper per site than quoting them separately.
Install windowOvernight and pre-opening installs cost more crew time than a weekday window.
How early you bookThe calendar tightens through the fall, and pricing rises with it.

For context on the residential side, where we do have published data, most Long Island homes run $1,400 to $2,100 based on 158 real quotes. Commercial sits above that in most cases. Call 631-517-0186 and we will walk the building.

Storefront lighting questions

How far in advance should a business book?

Book by early October. Commercial installs get scheduled before residential in most years because they need specific windows around business hours, and those windows are limited. By late November the calendar is usually full and pricing has risen. If you are calling in December, still call: cancellations open up, and a smaller storefront job can sometimes be fit into an existing route.

Do we have to buy the lights?

No. The lights are included in the price as a rental. They are commercial-grade strands, clips, and connectors that we own, cut to fit your building, and take back into storage at the end of the season. You are not buying inventory, storing it, or replacing it when a strand fails. If you would rather own a system that stays on the building year-round, ask about permanent LED roofline lighting instead.

Will the install disrupt customers?

It should not. Installs are scheduled around your hours: before opening, after close, or during a weekday lull, whichever fits your traffic. Crews arrive in uniform and in marked vehicles, work the exterior, and clear the area before you open. For a single storefront most installs are done in a few hours. Tell us your busiest times during the walk-through and we schedule around them.

What if a section goes out during the season?

Call and a crew is back within 48 hours. That is the Stay-Lit Guarantee, it is included in the price, and there is no service-call fee. December is exactly when this matters, which is why it is written into the job instead of sold as an add-on. Most failures are a connector or a run knocked loose by wind, and they are fixed on the first visit.

Can you send a certificate of insurance to our landlord?

Yes. Yule Love Lights is fully insured and a certificate of insurance is available on request, made out to your landlord, management company, or whoever your lease names. Ask for it when you book and it goes out before the first crew visit. This is the item that most often holds up a commercial install, so we handle it up front rather than scrambling for it in December.

Do you take everything down afterward?

Yes. Takedown and off-season storage are included. Crews start in early January. Nothing is left on your building into February, no clips stay on the fascia, and nothing goes into your stockroom. This is the most common complaint business owners have about whoever they hired last year, so removal is part of the contract, not a separate line item.
