Do you have a minimum charge or service fee?
Our minimum charge for Christmas light installation is $1000 and it increases as we get closer to the holidays. However, for permanent lights installation, we donโt have a set minimum charge as each project is unique and the cost will depend on various factors such as the size and complexity of the project, type of lights used, and the location. For a more accurate estimate, we recommend that you contact us directly to discuss your specific needs and requirements. We will be happy to provide a detailed quote and estimate for your project.
Do I have to buy the lights for/from you?
No. For seasonal Christmas lights, the lights are included in the price. They are commercial-grade strands, clips, and connectors that we own, cut to fit your building, and take back into storage at the end of the season. You are not buying inventory, you are not storing it, and you are not replacing a failed strand next year.
That is the difference between a rental service and a supplier. If you already own lights and want us to hang them, tell us during the walk-through and we will quote install and service only, but we cannot warranty product we did not supply.
Permanent LED roofline lighting works the other way around. That system is yours: it is installed once, stays on the building year-round, and is controlled from an app. Ask about permanent if you would rather own the hardware than rent it every season.
What is your Stay-Lit Guarantee and how does it work?
We offer a Stay-Lit Guarantee. If anything dims, flickers, or fails, just let us know and weโll come fix it fast. You wonโt be left in the dark. We respond within 48 hours.
What if my last company never came back to take my lights down?
We hear that all the time. Last year alone, we got over 120 calls in January of 2025 from frustrated neighbors. That wonโt happen with us. We take pride in following through and making your season stress-free and if you need help give us a call!
Can I change the colors every year?
Since you have an all-inclusive service, you can choose different color schemes each year, classic white, multicolor, warm white, candy cane, and more!
Do the lights stay on all night long?
Thatโs totally up to you. Many people choose to have the lights came on at sunset and go off at sunrise. If you prefer to have them come on or go off on another schedule, let us know at the time of your installation and our techs can program the timer to your desired schedule.
Will my electric bill go up?
All of our systems are considered โlow-voltage.โ The low voltage system is powered by a transformer that plugs into a traditional outdoor rated GFI outlet. The low voltage system uses a minimum amount of electricity each month. For the average installation, most people wonโt even notice a difference in their monthly electric bill.
What will my property look like when you leave?
For most typical installations, youโll never even know we were there. We work hard to make sure to return everything as closely as possible to its original condition. However, you may notice some small lines in the grass where the wires were run and youโll probably notice the new fixtures in the mulch beds, under trees, and around the house.
Who will be working at my house?
Our trained staff members will show up in uniforms & wrapped vehicles to your property. Each designer and technician has been through our employment screening which includes both a criminal background check and sex offender check.
The other guy said he can do it for cheaper. Why are you more expensive?
These guys may be great at what they do respectively, but they typically donโt specialize in outdoor lighting. We DO. All we do is lighting. We specialize and hyper-focus on lighting. We START with the design. We work to make sure that your design is elegant and impactful with strategically and intentionally placed lights. Sure, anyone can install a light fixture but not everyone is a lighting designer. You hire a professional painter to paint your home not the pool guy. You hire an auto mechanic to fix your car not just a handyman. You hire alarm and security company to protect your property and not an electrician. So, hire a company that specializes in Outdoor Lighting & Design not the landscaper, power-washer, or window cleaner.
Can you send a certificate of insurance before we schedule?
Yes. Yule Love Lights is fully insured and a certificate of insurance is available on request, made out to your landlord, management company, village, or whoever your lease names. Ask for it when you book and it goes out before the first crew visit, not after. This is the item that holds up most commercial jobs, so we handle it up front. Our installers are also CLIPA-certified, which is the industry certification for Christmas light professionals.
Can you install around our business hours?
Yes. Commercial installs are scheduled around your hours, not ours. That usually means early mornings before opening, overnights for retail centers, or a weekday window for office parks and industrial sites. Tell us your traffic pattern during the walk-through and the install window gets built around it. Customers and tenants should never walk through a work zone, and staff should not have to move anything for us.
Can you handle multiple locations on one contract?
Yes. Multi-site accounts run on a single contract with one schedule, one invoice, and one point of contact for the whole season. Individual store managers do not have to arrange anything and do not need to know our process. If your sites are spread across Nassau and Suffolk, they still go on the same schedule, and the display is consistent from location to location unless you want it varied by site.
What happens if a display goes out in the middle of December?
Call us and a crew is back within 48 hours. That is the Stay-Lit Guarantee, it applies to every commercial site, and there is no service-call fee. December is exactly when this matters, so it is written into the job rather than sold as an add-on. Most failures are a connector or a run knocked loose by wind, and they are fixed on the first visit.
Do you work with HOAs, apartment communities, and property managers?
Yes. HOAs, condo associations, apartment communities, retail centers, office parks, and municipal properties are all regular commercial work. For a board or a management company that usually means three things: a certificate of insurance on file, a fixed seasonal price with no surprise invoices, and one contact who answers the phone. Do you take everything down after the season?
Yes, takedown and off-season storage are included in the price. Crews start in early January.
